Creative Cricklewood, Events, Open Mic

Re-Launch of the Open Mic – a great turnout

The Re-Launch of Creative Cricklewood’s Open Mic at the Windmill Pub on Thursday evening was a roaring success. With more performers than there was time for, a busy bar, lots of laughter, an attentive audience and great venue, we hope that this CC event will become a regular night out in all your calendars.  This listener was hugely impressed by the quality of acts and particularly delighted to see so many new performers as well as long standing acts who have supported us since the beginning of CC in October last year.

The evening featured different styles of music, spoken word and dance.  In the background, creating the ambiance beautifully, was a solo exhibition of paintings by Henryk Terpilowski.  This exhibition is running for couple of weeks so if you havn’t had a chance to properly absorb the works do pop into the Windmill again – the paintings are well worth spending time with and will grow in poignancy with each viewing.

A big vote of thanks to our performers: Jo Ryan, Lizzie Coke, Rosy Summerbell, Zimmy Van Zandt, Flaviya Ke, Mary Carlton, Jack Kelly, Paul and Panama Dave. Thank you also to the Windmill Pub, Weronika Knap and CC organisers Panama Dave, Henryk Terpilowski and Jean-Marc Pierson.

Do remember that if you didn’t get a chance to share your skills this time round, we hope that you will join us again on thursday 6th of December, same place, same timings.
